einstein-01.jpgWhen Shelley Powers launched Einstein’s lock she based the name on a quote from Einstein: “The release of atomic power has changed everything except our way of thinking … the solution to this problem lies in the heart of mankind. If only I had known, I should have become a locksmith.” (1945)

We also rather like Robyn Williams of Ockham’s Razor fame on Australia’s ABC radio, talking about Einstein’s habit of pacing around tugging a lock of hair for inspiration. Either way, we see ‘Einstein’s lock’ as a place to seek inspiration for the world’s ills today, tempered with the knowledge of the past …

Shelley has now passed the baton from St Louis, Missouri, to Hobart, Tasmania, and we’re looking forward to having some fun pricking the pompous, deflating the A-list and generally bringing a touch of reality to the online world.
